Hyrcan is derived from Hyrcania, the Greek form of the Old Persian Varkāna, meaning “Land of Wolves.” It once referred to a region along the southern Caspian Sea, where the ancient Hyrcanian Forests still survive. Estimated to be over 25 million years old, these forests are among the oldest surviving broadleaf woodlands on Earth, yet they are now increasingly endangered. The name is a tribute to this landscape, its resilience, and what remains to be protected.
Hyrcan Productions creates story-driven, visually grounded work across film, documentary, advertising, and live production. We work independently and in collaboration with talented artists, agencies, and businesses, offering creative development, production, and media strategy. Whether telling personal stories or building branded narratives, we value clarity, purpose, and execution.
