About Hyrcan

Hyrcan takes its name from Hyrcania, the Greek rendering of the Old Persian Varkana, meaning “Land of Wolves.” This name once referred to a region along the southern shores of the Caspian Sea, where the ancient Hyrcanian Forests still survive.
Estimated to be over 25 million years old, these forests are among the oldest surviving broadleaf woodlands on Earth, yet they are now increasingly endangered.
Hyrcan is a tribute to this region, its endurance, its stories, and what still remains to be protected.
Hyrcan Productions is focused on producing visually grounded, story-driven work with a clear point of view. It values simplicity, creative independence, and thoughtful execution across formats, scales, and settings.
